Lakeside Community Counsil

The Lakeside Community Council is a 7-seat board, created by the Flathead County Commissioners, in accordance with MCA 7-3-111 and 7-3-417(2). The purpose of the council is to promote the interest and concerns of its citizens in the planning area covered by the Lakeside Neighborhood Plan (LNP). In order to accomplish this goal, the Lakeside Community Council (LCC) shall act as a liaison between the Flathead County Commissioners and the citizens of the Lakeside planning area, covered by the LNP. 

Unfortunately, in 2016 all 7 of the board members resigned their seats. The UWSA took community feedback and used our website to share information about the board and its function in Lakeside, encouraging people to run during the 2023 Special Election. Eight people ran in the election, which was certified on May 25th with 6 elected members. Flathead County Planning and Zoning will advertise for the 7th member soon.
