This board is currently vacant. These are elected positions. The Upper West Shore Alliance is hopeful that by bringing awareness to this council, at least 7 Lakeside residents will recognize the criticality and step forward. Please reach out to us if you'd like more information. You can also reach out to Flathead County Elections Department directly. If you choose to contact the elections department directly, the UWSA would still appreciate being notified of your interest. The UWSA will not assume any role in sponsoring or advocating for candidates, but we would like to keep a pulse on the community interest so that we can continue to encourage the seating of this 7 member council. Any information we gather about the board will be shared equally among those who have reached out. Contact Us: email@example.com

The Lakeside Community Council is a 7-seat board, created by the Flathead County Commissioners, in accordance with MCA 7-3-111 and 7-3-417(2). The purpose of the council is to promote the interest and concerns of its citizens in the planning area covered by the Lakeside Neighborhood Plan (LNP). In order to accomplish this goal, the Lakeside Community Council (LCC) shall act as a liaison between the Flathead County Commissioners and the citizens of the Lakeside planning area, covered by the LNP.
Unfortunately, in 2016 all 7 of the board members resigned their seats. We were told by Flathead County Planning that there was a dispute over changes the board wanted to make to the Bylaws. According to Flathead County Planning, they were unable to change their bylaws and therefore they resigned their seats. The UWSA is researching this board and the election process needed to fill these seats. More information will follow.
